passes, the Taglang La ( 5280m) , the Lachalung La ( 5065m) , the Baralacha
La (4995m), and the Rothang La ( 3990m) makes this a long and demanding
ride . During our stay in Leh for a couple of days for acclimatisation,
we visit many of the area's colourful Buddhist monasteries, spend a day
while water rafting on the Indus and also bike the epic descent from the
Khardungla at 5380m the highest road pass in the world. This classic journey
offers exposure to a tremendous variety of landscape and culture, as we
travel from the high plateau of Ladakh , through the semi arid plains
of lahaul, to the lush greenery of the Kulu valley. If you are looking
for the excitement of challenging climbs and some of the best downhill
in the world, set amongst ever changing, scenery, this trip is hard to
beat.
Motorbike Safari Tour (Detailed Itinerary)Duration : 16 Nights 17 Days Destinations : Delhi - Chandigarh - Shimla - Sarahan - Jalori Pass - Manali - Kaza - Tabu - Kaza - Keylong - Tandi - Udaipur - Sarchu - Tso-Moriri Lake - Leh - Delhi Day 01: Delhi to Chandigarh by car, (300kms / 5hrs) Local sight seeing in Chandigarh, visiting Rock Garden, Sukhana Lake, Rose Garden, Pinjore Garden, Overnight in Chandigarh. Day 02: Chandigarh - Shimla by Bike (100kms / 4 hrs) After breakfast drive to Shimal. Lunch at Shimla, Local sightseeing of Shimla. Visiting Kufri, Wild flower hall, The Mall .Dinner & Overnight in hotel. Day 03: Shimla - Sarahan Bhimkali Temple (200kms / 6 hrs) After breakfast, drive all the way through mountain ranges, from Siwalik hills towards Kinnaur Valley .Lunch on the way . Dinner & Overnight in Temple complex. Day 04: Sarahan - Jalori Pass(4200m) (240km / 7 hrs) After breakfast, Drive to Jalori Pass. It is the Interior of Himachal Pradesh, it is a place of old villages, old temples, Lunch on the way. Dinner & Overnight at camp or HPTDC Hotel that depends on weather condition. Day 05: Jalori Pass - Manali (150 km / 5 hours) After breakfast, drive all the way driving into Kullu Valley .Lunch on the way. Dinner & Overnight in Hotel. Day 06: Manali Rest After breakfast, Rest and visit around the Manali. Day 07: Manali(1850m) - Kaza(3500m), via Losar village (4100m), Kunzam Pass (4500m) (200 Kms / 8 Hrs.) After breakfast, start drive from Manali towards deep george of Lahaul valley & Spiti valley over Rohatang Pass & Kunzam Pass, along with Chandra River. The landscape is grey & the ranges are C.B. range & Pir punjal sub range. Ovenight in hotel Sakya Abode. Day 08: Kaza - Tabu: Tabo Monastery (3700m) (A historical place) After breakfast drive to Tabo Monastery the oldest monastery in the area) and Kibber village(4200m) - one of the highest village in the world & Motorable road touch highest village in the world, Later visit Kibber Gompa, Kee Monastery, Kaza - the head quaters of sub division of Spiti valley, Kee Monastery is the biggest monastery in this area. Also visit Dhankar Monastey - the old capital of Spiti valley. One can see the panoramic view of Spiti valley. Explore the Tabo Gompa. The oldest Monastery in the area. Lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight in Kaza, hotel Sakya Abode. Day 09 : Kaza to Keylong (3500m) via Kunzam Pass, Chandertal Lake. After breakfast, drive back toward Lahaul valley, visit Morang Gomp, A Nun Monastery in the area, driving is through Spiti river. Kunzam Pass - Chandertal Lake(4200m). (200 Kms) Explore the blue water moon lake. Chandertal Lake - Tandi (3400m). All the way driving through the deep george of Lahaul valley, Along with Chandra river & camp at Tandi, A confluence point of two river (Chandra & Bhaga river) Lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight in hotel Snowland. Day 10 : Tandi - Udaipur (3700m) After breakfast, visit Khardung Gompa in the morning & drive to Trilokinath Temple in Patten valley. Trilokinath is a six armed image of white marble of Trilokinath(Lord Shiva) also known as Avalokiteshwara & Bodhisattava by Buddhist. The Temple of Godess Marikula at Udaipur is known for its remarkable woodcarving. Over night stay at Udaipur or at the bank of the Chandra Bhaga river at Patten Valley, the gateway of Pangi Valley. Day 11 : Udaipur - Sarchu (4200m) via Baralacha-la(4800m) After breakfast, drive all the way through Lahaul Valley along with Bhaga river. On the way visit Jispa Gompa the gate way point to go to Zankar Area. Lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight in camp. Day 12 : Sarchu - Tso-Moriri Lake (4400m) via Nukeela (4800m), Lachug-la (4900m) Today after breakfast, drive is through grey landscape & barren land into Western Himalayan Range. Pang(One of the oldest land on Earth) Polo Kangala Pass (5000m). After crossing more plain at Pang .Visit Tso-Kar Lake & say hello to Goose on Lake. Water in Lake is salt water lake. After Tso Â-Kar Lake drive to Tso-Moriri Lake, A fresh water lake on 4400m height . Tso-Morir Lake is about 80 kms. long & 25 kms. wide. Lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight in camp on the bank of bank of Tso-Morir Lake. Day 13: Tso-Morir Lake. After breakfast, Explore the area of Tso-Morir Lake & Karzok village & most popular gompa in the area. Pack Lunch. Dinner and overnight in camp. Day 14 : Tso- Moriri Lake - Leh (3600m) via Chumathang. After breakfast, All the way drive along with a stream through Puga valley & come to meet the famous Indus River which leads towards Leh . One can see some nomad people & old village. An area where one can see colours of mountain. One can take bath at hot springs at Chumathang. Continue your drive along with Indus River & visit Hemis monastery. Lunch enroute. Dinner & Overnight in Leh town in hotel. Day 15 : Leh After breakfast. Visit around the Leh & Monastries, Dinner and overnight in Hotel. Day 16 : Leh After breakfast, Visit Khardungla Pass - the highest motorable road in the world. Day 17 : Leh - Delhi Departure After breakfast and fly to Delhi.
